The Luxus Group reflects the same family values and work ethic that allows the Petasky family to successfully operate their Sobeys franchises in Sherwood Park. As long time business owners, they sought an opportunity to diversify their business and created The Luxus Group out of their originating desire to find a vacation option that best fit their family’s lifestyle and financial needs. The Luxus Group is truly a “Family” business, passionately and creatively working to fulfill its mission.
Stephen Petasky, President & Founder
Stephen is responsible for the Leadership and strategic direction of The Luxus Group. He was the driving force behind the creation of Luxus Vacation Properties and remains actively involved in partnership expansion, real estate acquisition and asset management. Stephen is passionate about new business development and enthusiastic about the future. When Stephen is not spending time with wife Carrie and their two children, he is likely off on an activity – climbing a mountain, riding a trail or on the golf course!
Don Petasky, Vice President & Founder
Don brings over 20 years of entrepreneurship and recreational real estate ownership experience to the Luxus Team. He is one of the Founding Partners of Luxus Vacation Properties and plays a key role in overseeing real estate acquisitions and asset management. Don is an avid golfer and he and wife Nancy are enjoying their latest role as proud grandparents to their four grandchildren.
Nancy Petasky, Property Consultant
Nancy provides valuable leadership with the setup and integration of all Luxus Vacation Properties, ensuring that the Luxus Standard is established and maintained at each and every location. Nancy enjoys painting and spending time with friends, husband Don, their children and grandchildren.
Carrie Doll, Media Relations Consultant
Carrie offers The Luxus Group valuable insight and experience in the area of Media Relations as Luxus develops its corporate brand. As an experienced news Anchor and Journalist with CTV, Carrie effectively communicates messages on a daily basis and plays an important role in the local community. Carrie is passionate about playing the piano, supporting local charities and spending time with her husband and their two children.
Danielle L’Heureux, Director of Operations
Danielle is responsible for overseeing the daily operations at Luxus including all facets of the company’s sales, marketing initiatives, managerial and operational functions. With an extensive background in hospitality with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and a Business Degree from the University of Alberta, Danielle is also actively involved in the business development and strategic planning for the Luxus organization. Danielle and husband Jason are looking forward to expanding their family in the near future.
Amanda Schroter, Operations Manager
Amanda is responsible for the daily operations of the Luxus properties. Amanda coordinates the management of all properties and oversees renovations and repairs to the homes. She joins the Luxus team with a background in marketing after graduating from the University of Alberta’s School of Business and several years in the hospitality industry. In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling, and playing the piano.
Heather Vos, Director of Owner Services
Heather oversees all aspects of Owner Services ensuring Luxus Owners experience extraordinary vacations. Heather plays a pivotal role in sales & marketing, and is dedicated to the continued success and development of the Luxus website and other marketing tools necessary to expand the company. Prior to her position at Luxus, Heather served in several leadership roles with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. On a personal note, Heather enjoys gardening, cooking and her role as a new mother.
Nicole Pytel, Travel Experience Coordinator
Nicole brings a friendly, caring and accommodating attitude to the Team and is responsible for the efficient day-to-day organizing and itinerary planning for all Luxus Owners. Whether it’s booking a flight, car rental or planning a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Nicole is there to help. With a background in business and marketing combined with years of hospitality experience, Nicole is a great fit to the Luxus team. In her free time Nicole loves travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Desiree Thomas, Financial Controller
Desiree is responsible for all financial matters of The Luxus Group including the operating budget, annual valuations, audit preparation and annual financial statements. Desiree’s previous experience includes working with a major Canadian corporation as a General Accountant. Desiree has completed her CGA designation, which provides even more value to the Luxus team. She and husband Peter enjoy travelling and attending live concerts and events.
Luxus also has retained the services of several professional firms for real estate, legal, IT, accounting and taxation advice.
